As many of you know Jim Teeter was diagnosed with prostrate cancer this spring. Unfortunately it has reached stage 4. His doctors locally have discussed hormone theropy and chemo to achieve remission. After spending countless hours researching additional options, his family was told about the Dattoli Cancer Center. This cancer center is internationally known, and one of the leading treatment centers for prostate cancer. Treatment last 3 months, and in those 3 months, We will have to live in Sarasota, Florida, as treatments are 5 days a week. The new discovery in living in Sarasota is that we have to pay the entire 3 months rent, deposit, and fees in one or two payments in most apartment complexes. This will cost from 5[phone redacted] total. That is a shock! And of course the medical bills are staring to come in. Our friends have been very generousnand we are vry thankful. If you see this post on your FB account could you please share it. Thank you all so very much.
Many of you know that Jim is one of the first people to offer help or prayer and the last person to ask for help. Cancer has a way of changing things. Medical bills, the cost of maintaining 2 residences while in treatment, not to mention the emotional toll the "C" word brings to a family can be devastating. While he is lucky his insurance is accepted and will pay up to 80%, it is unknown the amount of money treatment will end up costing his family.
So many times people want to help in circumstances such as these but don't know how. We are asking for your continued prayers and/or any other help you would like to give Jim and his family. We are utterly heart-broken at his diagnosis and remain hopeful that he will respond well to treatment. We know that God has this!
