<div><strong>Jim has been battling end-stage renal failure for over 2 years now, and it has been a journey I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. He is now suffering with Uremia and will need more rounds of Avastin Infusions.</strong>

<div>Those of you that know Jim are aware that he is fighting with all he has and has an incredible attitude no matter what he is facing.

</div>

<div>The reason we have come to the point of needing to ask for help is that over the last two years, we have struggled to keep our head above water with the medical bills: dialysis, supplies, surgeries, infusions, and pharmaceuticals. The way we have done this is to have to use all of our credit to live on. We sold one of our cars. It has been extremely difficult, but we have managed.

<div>Last year, we had prescription insurance through Aetna. The premium covered all of his medication. We just found out that Aetna no longer has that plan, and they have switched us to the only other Rx plan they have, which has a large deductible and only covers a portion of the medication.

</div>

<div><strong>We have done all we can and are now at the point where we cannot make this month's bills and afford the medication.</strong> Once we can get on top of the current bills and get this month's medication, we are hoping we can manage. We have put our house up for sale, and we are hoping to downsize and move back to Chicago.
