No Child Should Have to Hold Their Father's Obituary
It is with a heavy heart and much sadness that I write this letter.
Tragically, my former husband Jimmy suffered a heart attack and passed away last month. He leaves behind a wife and 12 year old son as well as my daughter Myranda.
Anyone who knew Jimmy knew he was larger than life. He had a joie de vivre, loved to entertain with his music and was always ready to make light of any situation by humiliating himself to get a laugh. Jimmy also had a serious side; he was a hardworking man with over 25 years of success in the electronic/computer industry until his first heart attack eight years ago. At that time, he lost his job.
His sudden and untimely death has left his family without a husband and father. Unjustifiably, he passed away before finalizing his life insurance. His wife and son are left without funds and next month will have to vacate their apartment and find a new home. They have very little left financially and no family close by to support them.
His widow is a wonderful and proud person who will not reach out for help, so I have taken it upon myself to find a way to help them through their loss and get them some sort of foundation to begin anew. Imagine losing the head of your household, a business and your home all at the same time. My daughter Myranda is grown and taken care of, but it's her brother and stepmother who need our help.
Myranda and I are hoping that our family, friends, and anyone else who will see this GoFundMe request will support us in this personal cause.
I wasn't able to ask, "how can I help ?" while he was alive, however I am hoping to help his family now. Won't you help me help them? Any donation will be appreciated beyond what words can say.
