Hi I am setting this up for a dear family friend whose husband has had several life changing diagnosis recently and had major surgery to remove cancer yesterday in a 13 hour surgery.

I will be updating for their family as they send over uodates while they are at the hospital.

Here is the first update from Vicki :

"Jimmy was diagnosed with PPMS ( primary progressive multiple sclerosis) and a rare eye disease called WEBINO that only allows him to see out of one eye at a time. 3 months after being diagnosed with that he developed a lump in his cheek which turned into a cancerous tumor, the actual term is buccal mucosa. The cancer led to his throat and in his lymph nodes. They were able to remove the cancer as far as we know but wont know 100% for about a week. He had the skin removed from his forearm and put in his cheek and then a skin graft from his leg and put into his forearm. So now he lost function in not only his left arm from this but already had limited function in his right arm from a previous accident years ago where he ripped every tendon, nerve and artery in his hand and wrist. He ll be in the hospital for 7-10 days as of right now and has a feeding tube for 2 plus weeks. He is set to be off for a month but could be more depending on how he heals. He will have to have follow ups, scan, tests and some physical therapy for at least a year. "
