Hi all! My name is Kassandra Mendez and I'm a junior at Loyola University Maryland where I became close friends with Jimi Patrick.
At 19 years old, Jimi Patrick was cruelly ripped from this world. I had the opportunity to meet and become close friends with Jimi through our work study position at Loyola University of Maryland. Jimi was a rising sophomore with a full ride to the school. He finished his freshman year in great academic standing.
He was an incredibly kind and genuine person. Someone that always had a smile on his face and could make you smile at any moment with his goofy comments. He is someone that will be greatly missed in our Greyhound community.
I don't have the proper words to describe how incredible Jimi Patrick was. In honor of who he was and how he touched many, in celebration of his life, I'm hoping to raise some money to put towards whatever his family wishes.
Most recently, the school sent out an email and I've been in touch with some people from the Loyola Campus Ministry that have given me word about the way that Jimi's grandparents would best like to honor Jimi. I am no longer hoping to raise money to give to the family for funeral expenses, rather I am hoping to honor their wishes of donating money in Jimi's name to two organizations:
"Jimi’s family would appreciate contributions in his name be made to one of the following organizations:
Boys Town
14100 Crawford St.
Boys Town, NE 68010
Nami - Bucks Chapter
600 Louis Dr., Suite 106
Warminster, PA 18974"

All of the funds made will be split and donated to both of these organizations in Jimi's name.

Once the funds have all been collected I intend to withdraw them and either give them all to Jimi's grandparents so that they can donate the money themselves, or I will send it to both of the organizations myself in Jimi Patrick's name.
