We have been raising funds for Jim Fox to record a live, double Kirtan Album which will be sold in order to support the work of Skanda Vale Hospice in West Wales.
The recording is now done! We had a wonderful day as we sang and chanted together. Thank you to all those who took part and helped to make it a special day.
If you haven't already done so, you can pre-book your copy of the double CD by going to www.jimfox.info and follow the links. You will also find details of purchasing the special "Namaste" T-shirts and Hoodies there.
We still need some more funds in order to cover the costs of mastering and copying CDs, and for the printing of the covers. All support is welcome as all the profits from the sale of the CDs will go to support the work of Skanda Vale Hospice.
Please note, your donation here is not going directly to Skanda Vale Hospice, but is to fund the recording and production of a double CD which will be used to raise funds for the hospice. Once completed and released, the revenue generated from each CD sold will go straight to the hospice.
Jim is a musician, writer and inspirational speaker who leads regular Kirtan sessions in South West Wales.
Kirtan is a form of Bhakti Yoga, The Yoga of Devotion. Its roots go back over many years to India and has the power to open the heart and to quiet the mind.
A form of call and response singing, the Kirtan Wallah, or leader, sings the mantra, and the assembled group sing it back. As we sing with each other we experience a deep connection with each other and with the self. When the music stops, your mind is quiet.
The live recording is made on Sunday 24th September 2017 in Swansea, South Wales, produced by leading producer of Bhakti music, and master Tabla player, Tom Simenauer.
We are offering a number of different rewards in exchange for your donations.
Digital downloads of the album will be available around January 2018
Signed copies of the CDs will be available February/March 2018
T shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts will be posted out as soon as possible, each item is printed to order so please be patient.
