On Nov. 7 JimDawg (Jimmy Gray) was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Highway 17 in Suffolk, VA, when a reckless driver’s actions forced him off the road, slamming his bike and his right side into the pavement. The driver did not stop, but another did and called an ambulance.
JimDawg is the chief provider for a family of seven. He was on his way to a work-related appointment when the accident occurred. The good news is that he suffered no head or spine trauma. The bad news is that the damage is so bad that the doctors estimate he may be out of work for six months. Injuries include a broken scapula, multiple ribs, tibia (requiring surgery and the insertion of various metal parts), and big toe. He also has a lung contusion.
JimDawg and Babygirl (his wife, Stephanie Gray) are loving parents to four children and grandparents to one grandchild. Stephanie is in children's ministry. Both spend countless hours working to help children in their community and beyond. They serve others passionately. But now they are the ones who need help.
JimDawg is a drywall contractor and had his own business. Related to that, he has about $6,000 in outstanding bills. Their monthly bills total $4,500-5,500. At this early stage, they are not sure what their medical bills will be, but they could be crippling.
Excluding medical bills, they need nearly $40,000 to survive the next six months, so that is the goal of this plea. Please pray. Please help if you can. And please share this need.
