Jim Button Memorial Fund

He left behind an amazing wife and 2 wonderful children.
On Sunday evening around 12:00pm Jim was sent to the hospital with a blood sugar of 600 (which was as high as that meter could read) and was to weak to walk. By the time he reached Shelby Baptist hospital his blood sugar spiked to 2200 (no this is not a typo) he then went into tachycardia and they had to stop his heart to try and get his heart back in rhythm they tried this three times then on the third time finally got it corrected. Then they sent him up to ICU to try and slowly bring down his blood sugar but then his kidneys started to fail. Soon after that he started having complete organ failure. He then stabilized for a bit but was never completely out of dangers way. At 4am on Monday Honi Jo his wife and partner of 20 years called the hospital to find out that his blood pressure had significantly dropped and he started running a temp of 107. Honi then immediately jumped in her car with her mother and sister and flew to the hospital only to find out they had put him on a respirator. They were not allowed to go in to see him till close to 6am. When they spoke with the dr he explained how inconstant Jim's heart rate was and how they were trying to bring down his temp. At 8:32am Monday February the 24, 2015 Jims heart officially gave out. Leaving behind his 2 wonderful children Michael (11) and Alivia (6). He also left behind one of the best mothers and friend I know, Honi Jo Button.
The reason for this fund is simply to help the family. Jim unfortunately did not have any kind life insurance or burial policy's
He loved his family very much and would not want all the stress for them that they currently have on them.
I am asking instead of purchasing flowers and card for the family please PLEASE donate to this fund or you may even call the funeral home and donate directly to the expenses of the funeral anything at all you can donate is appreciated. Please help this family in their time of need!
