Jim's Family Fund & Medical Expenses

On Sunday, September 13th, in the early hours of the morning, Brenda, Ryan, Kyle, and Craig lost their husband/father to GBM (glioblastoma multiforme is very aggressive type of brain cancer).
Two years ago Jim landed his dream job as a consultant with PIMCO. This initiated a move to Corona Del Mar, California where Jim and Brenda put down roots and began to build something of a second home. For a good while things couldn’t be more perfect.
In late December, family members started to notice significant behavioural changes in Jim. Things took a turn for for the worse and he was immediately brought to a hospital where he was diagnosed with GBM. Shortly after being given his diagnosis, Jim required emergency brain surgery and an extended hospital stay. Once Jim and Brenda returned to Canada more surgery and treatment followed. Unfortunately, during his hospital stay Jim did not have any American medical coverage, resulting in substantial medical bills whilst their income was halted. Jim spent his final months surrounded by his loved ones, seeking as much quality time and adventure as his body would permit him.
