Thank you for visiting our GoFundMe page. It took a while for us to get to this point. It is not an easy thing to do. Unfortunately, my ALS diagnosis has progressed to the point where we must make modifications to our home. This page has been set up to help raise funds to make essential modifications to our home that insurance will not cover.
We have already begun investing our savings in this process. However the overall cost we are looking at is upwards of $15,000. The things that we are looking at include a ramp for the wheelchair, a stair lift to allow me to get upstairs on my own, a lift recliner that will allow me to get out of the chair without assistance when I am home alone.
In addition we will need to get a trailer to transport the wheelchair. Also we will need to make modifications for accessibility inside the house including showers, grab bars, and other adaptive equipment as needed.
