Jim DiVico scholarship fund

Donation protected
In the summer of 1988, Jimmy DiVico (IHS class of 1983) and his new bride, Jen Guyer, were killed in an auto accident in Rochester NY, just two short months after their wedding. Jen was pregnant with their first child. This unspeakable tragedy impacted family and friends greatly but has now inspired a long-overdue memorial weekend to celebrate Jimmy’s life, and to fund a college scholarship in his honor. The scholarship is being coordinated through Irondequoit HS and donations can be made through this page for those that cannot attend in person. The scholarship will assist a deserving student-athlete, that is in need of financial help towards college.

Sept 8th, 2018 will be the First Annual Jimmy DiVico Family Memorial Golf Tournament, held at Durand Eastman course in Irondequoit NY – the site of countless childhood summer rounds for Jimmy and his friends. Later that evening, the festivities will continue at O’Loughlin’s, with a celebration that will include raffles and auctions to raise money for the scholarship fund, but most importantly, to raise a glass with friends to toast Jimmy and family. Whether you would like to join us for golf, be a sponsor of the tournament, donate an item for auction, or just join for drinks and fun, we encourage everyone to come and join for this fun event, to honor a friend and IHS grad, and the too-short life that he and his wife led.
