Jim & Cathy Glover Relief Fund

Jim and Cathy Glover are two kind and wonderful people that have been going through the roughest time of their lives. As friends, family, and a community, we wanted to rally behind Jim and Cathy to support them and provide some financial relief for their medical and emotional hardship. 

Jim and Cathy have been married for 45 years, through many ups and downs, challenges and tribulations, but recently they're facing the most trying of all times. 

Some of you may know that in July of 2018, Cathy had a quadruple bypass surgery (open heart surgery), during which she had a stroke. The stroke caused her to lose the vision in her left eye and partial loss of vision of her right eye. Shortly after, they found 2 major arteries in her neck had blockages, 100% and 60% that had to be treated. 

Earlier this month (October), Cathy had a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lung) and fluid build-up in her lungs that almost took her from this world, but she persevered and perseveres still. 

Jim has been battling a massive infection in his jaw while taking care of his wife and business. This infection went septic and caused him to need intravenous medicine almost daily. If the treatment doesn't take, it could mean surgery in which they have to take a part of his jaw. 

The financial burden of these incidents forced this family to put their house, which they've lived in for 23 years, up for auction. It was 4 years from being paid off. 

Jim is still working, running his own business, as he has for 30 years come January. He is well known for his kindness and honesty, as a person, and as a mechanic. He's been the heart and soul of AMR (Automotive Maintenance and Repair) and continues to take care of his customers, his wife, and his family in spite of his hardships. 

It's heartbreaking and also inspiring to see the love and hard work this family has put into the fight against illness and devastating circumstances. Jim and Cathy's biggest supporters are their family. Kelly, their daughter, and nurse who has given love, support, knowledge, and aid. Brent, their son in law that takes off work to ensure Cathy doesn't miss a single appointment. James, away in the Army but sends love and support. Debbie, Cathy's sister, who continues to work for Jim and support them through her own trials. And there are others not mentioned here, but not forgotten.
