Last year, after several weeks of illness Jim endured extensive testing to eventually be diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that affected his lungs. He pressed on, kept working and living life. Unknown what the future would hold, he lived life just like he would being healthy. Because of this I am sure what is about to be shared will be quite shocking.
Recently a new set of symptoms arose. This time around has been more debilitating, and harder to manage. After another round of tests and a second surgical biopsy, Jim now has a reason for the many autoimmune issues he’s been silently battling for the past several years.
Jim recently received the devastating diagnosis of Lymphoma. He underwent a scan last week and should have those results any day. The reason for this scan is to find out how advanced this cancer is. His new doctor fears that he may have been misdiagnosed for several years.
In the midst of Jim’s medical troubles this winter Carrie underwent reconstructive surgery on her hand/arm. While she claims to be ready to go back to work, I just can’t imagine her leaving Jim’s side in the middle of this ordeal. I’d hate for financial stress to be the reason the two cannot spend every moment together.
They’re both incredibly strong people, who would give anything to help others and it’s time for those of us that love them to be as generous to them as they have been to us. During the summer, Jim and Carrie work construction, and each winter they rely on Jim working to make ends meet. He’s obviously been unable to work for the past few weeks.
Whether you know Jim through Aggpro, Arctic Cat, or from rodeo we can all agree that he is one of the greatest men you’ll ever meet. The funds raised will go toward day to day living expenses, increasing medical bills and any other needs that may arise during this time.
