Mission Trip to Costa Rica
Hi
Friends and Family! Well, I have thought about going on a mission trip for some
time now and the opportunity has finally presented itself. My church, First
United Methodist Church of Celina, heads to Costa Rica each year on a mission
trip and I have always wanted to go. My employer will pay employees their
normal salary up to five business days per calendar year to serve at an
approved charity. So, when I heard my church was planning on going again this
summer, I signed up!
I will be
in Costa Rica July 21 - July 29. The team members and I will be constructing
and remodeling classrooms and additional structures in schools, churches and
homes. We will also have the opportunity to spend time with children teaching
Vacation Bible School, arts and crafts, or just playing. I cannot tell you how
excited and honored I am to have this opportunity to help others and make a difference in their lives!
Part of
making this trip possible is raising the money to cover my airfare and trip expenses. I would truly appreciate it if you would be willing to help support me financially. I understand that pennies are a little tight for everyone right now but please know that every little bit helps, and no amount is too small. I would also be grateful for your prayers for myself and for this trip. I am
a little nervous about going, but I LOVE helping others!...I just might get
that trait from my mother. J
