Hello! The life of a doctoral student, wife, mommy is in full effect. I am in the process of sending off work for editing, being here for my family (Christmas, family vacay, birthday planning, ballet, piano, school, etc) and prepping for the Minding Animals conference in New Delhi, India.
Thanks to so many friends and family, I was able to attend the a summer institute program at Princeton Theological Seminary. In less than two weeks, I will be presenting a paper in New Delhi, India at Jawaharlal Nehru University. This is just the beginning as my research seems to be taking a lot of interest from international conferences.
So far, we have saved our money and taken care of passports, VISAs, and received donation help with our airfare. The only thing left is the conference activities, transportation to and from airport, and hotel balance. Just to be clear, I was invited to present my paper and am not one of the keynote speakers - yet. But the major researchers in my field will be in attendance and this opportunity will be a great asset in diversifying my CV and international exposure.
The wonderful thing is that Jekelvin will accompany me to the conference. It was suggested that all female attendees travel in groups or with a male companion. I think Jekelvin will be great.
Well, we have less than two weeks and appreciate any help we can get. Thank you!
