Here's the story: A couple weeks ago, my best friend, Jamie was admitted to Mercy Hospital for abdominal pains, which has been an ongoing problem for the last year or so. They ended up doing surgery, a bowel resection, removing 8-10 inches of her intestine. The diagnosis isn't official yet, but the doctors are 90% sure she has Crohn's Disease. Before all of this, Jamie had just had returned to work (for about a1 1/2 weeks) from being off for 8 weeks for maternity leave. Jamie makes a living waiting tables and won’t be able to support herself or family for a while.
Jamie is a loving, funny, beautiful, gregarious 35 year old girl. She has an amazing heart, soul and mind.
