Jhye Hoban's brain cancer support

June 30th 2021 we received a phone call that no parent is prepared to hear, that our beautiful, cheeky, happy-go-lucky 7 year old son (& stepson) Jhye Hoban was diagnosed with a Brain tumour. With further tests & emergency surgery to remove the tumor only to find out that its cancer.
Two words no parent is prepared to hear. Brain cancer. And honestly it still haven't fully sunken in or seem real!
So now our little guy will need ongoing radiation and possibly chemotherapy treatment down in Brisbane at the Royal womens and children's hospital for up to 1 year.
We are currently waiting to hear what the next steps are and trying to find accommodation in Brisbane for our family to support our son through his healing journey.
Whilst dealing with the mental health of this and many other factors we are doing everything we possibly can to hold our heads above water and support him and make him as comfortable as he can be and let him & his young siblings be a kid as much as possible.
There are so many factors to consider and our world's have been turned upside-down.
Being away from home we have a lot of extra stress on everyday life.
We are reaching out in hope that this is one less thing as a family we have to think about, being financially okay.
We have already had so much support and love and are deeply greatful & very much appreciated in this whirlwind of a time.
We are so thankful & will forever be greatful to all the staff at the Townsville intense care unit, neurosurgeon team for looking after our Jhye with the best possible care we could ask for & the beautiful people and volunteers at the Ronald MacDonald house!
This week and a half is only the start of a very long journey however our Jhye is strong & determined as hell and ready to kick cancer's arse! There is just no other way!
our little man has heaps of family and friends for support & are truly greatful for your kindness.
We got this kiddlet and we're all here fighting with you my darling we got this beautiful!
