Relief Fund For Music Professionals in Cyprus

Make Music Nicosia , ARTio and Cloud10 Promotions are raising urgently-needed funds to support Professional Musicians, Composers, Arrangers, Songwriters, Music Producers, DJs and Sound Engineers who are:
- Permanent residents of Cyprus
- Cypriots who live abroad
-Proven to make their income fully through gigs, performances, events and freelance work and have been significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The widespread cancellation of events and closure of establishments, has had a huge impact on the arts community around the world. The music community in Cyprus has held and nurtured us for years. More than ever now is the time to support it. If you love music and you have the resources to provide some urgent support, please consider donating to our relief fund. Our aim is to help as many music professionals as possible. However, this depends on support from individuals like yourself. The total amount raised, the total amount of applications received, and individual criteria of each applicant will determine both the grant per music professional and the number of music professions to be supported.
Where your funds go: 100% of these funds will go to Professional Musicians, Composers, Arrangers, Songwriters, Music Producers, DJs and Sound Engineers who have been significantly financially affected due to COVID-19 and lost their income due to the cancellation of events and closure of venues. This is an emergency fund to help the ones who are in need with rent, food, utilities, and medical expenses. The amount given to each music professional is determined by factors such as; how many funds we receive, how much relative income artists have lost due to cancellations and closure of venues, and how many music professionals have applied. We want to make it clear that the organizers (Make Music Nicosia, ARTio and Cloud10 Promotions) will not benefit from the fund.
How Funds will get to the music professionals: We will send funds directly to them via online banking transfer. For privacy issues the names of beneficiaries will not be made public.
The deadline for Phase 1 of donations has been set for June 21st. A Phase 2 will be dependent on ongoing demand from music professionals as well as incoming donations.
This fundraiser is endorsed and supported by entities including: Sarah’s Jazz Club, New Division Pub, Sousami Bar, Windcraft Music Centre, Downtown Live, Kosmiko Kenton Antonakis, Savino Live, Library Bar, Sto Dromo Bar, Ravens Music Hall, Technopolis 20 and Pafos Music Lovers Group.

Το Make Music Nicosia , το ARTio και το Cloud10 Promotions μαζεύουν επειγόντως χρήματα για να στηρίξουν Επαγγελματίες Μουσικούς, Συνθέτες, Ενορχηστρωτές, Τραγουδοποιούς, Μουσικούς Παραγωγούς και Ηχολήπτες οι οποίοι:
- Είναι μόνιμοι κάτοικοι Κύπρου
- Κύπριοι οι οποίοι ζουν στο εξωτερικό
-Αποδεδειγμένα το εισόδημά τους πηγάζει εξολοκλήρου από συναυλίες και παραστάσεις και έχουν πληγεί σοβαρά από την πανδημία COVID-19.
Η ευρεία ακύρωση εκδηλώσεων και το κλείσιμο πολιτιστικών χώρων, χώρων ψυχαγωγίας και άλλων εγκαταστάσεων, είχε τεράστιο αντίκτυπο στην κοινότητα των τεχνών ανά τον κόσμο. Περισσότερο από ποτέ, τώρα είναι η στιγμή να στηρίξουμε μουσική κοινότητα της Κύπρου! Στόχος μας είναι να βοηθήσουμε όσο το δυνατόν περισσότερους μουσικούς επαγγελματίες. Ωστόσο, αυτό εξαρτάται από την υποστήριξη ατόμων όπως εσείς. Το συνολικό ποσό που θα αναληφθεί, το συνολικό ποσό των αιτήσεων καθώς και άλλα ατομικά κριτήρια του κάθε αιτούντος, θα καθορίσει τόσο τη χορηγία ανά μουσικό επαγγελματία όσο και το ποσό των μουσικών επαγγελματιών που θα υποστηριχθούν.
Πού πηγαίνουν τα χρήματά σας: 100% του ποσού θα διατεθεί σε επαγγελματίες μουσικούς, συνθέτες και ηχολήπτες που έχουν επηρεαστεί σημαντικά οικονομικά λόγω του COVID-19 και έχουν χάσει το εισόδημά τους λόγω της ακύρωσης εκδηλώσεων. Πρόκειται για ένα ταμείο έκτακτης ανάγκης για να βοηθήσει ανθρώπους που το έχουν πραγματικά ανάγκη (π.χ. έχουν εξαρτώμενα τέκνα, κάλυψη ενοικίων, φαγητού, ιατρικών εξόδων κλπ). Το ποσό που θα δοθεί σε κάθε αιτητή είναι συμβολικό και θα είναι το ίδιο για όλους. Αυτό θα εξαρτηθεί από το συνολικό ποσό που θα μαζευτεί, το πόσο έχει επηρεαστεί το σχετικό εισόδημα του κάθε αιτητή, καθώς και τον συνολικό αριθμό των αιτήσεων. Θέλουμε να ξεκαθαρίσουμε ότι οι οργανωτές (Make Music Nicosia, ARTio και Cloud10 Promotions) δεν θα επωφεληθούν από τις δωρεές.
Πώς θα φτάσουν οι πόροι στους μουσικούς: Τα χρήματα θα σταλούν μέσω διαδικτυακής τραπεζικής μεταφοράς. Τα ονόματα των δικαιούχων δεν θα δημοσιοποιούνται, λόγο απορρήτου.
