Cleo was rescued from the streets of Egypt by Janet and in the hopes that she would get a better life, she is now in Canada with Ola of Paws Above.
Janet, a local rescue colleague in Egypt, found her and the litter living off and eating the decaying body of their mother( so sad) the only nourishment they had was her body. Her litter mates were fatter and stronger and would fair well on the streets, but she was small and sick. She has tested negative for parvo and has been checked by a vet. But needs further vacc's and medical care. Cleo made it through the night and is getting the fluids she needs continuously. However, today we received devasting news from the vet. Cleo's red blood count is so low that she is dying. The vet has recommended euthanasia. However, a blood transfusion is the only thing that may help.
We all know this will not save all the pups in the world or even Egypt. But our little Cleo just won the lottery. Otherwise she would be dead. Thank you for trusting and believing in Paws Above. Who will get this girl all the medical help she needs and find her a dream home.
