Funding for Matt

To meet Matthew Paljetak is to know that you have met one of the kindest, most gentle spirits on this planet. His soul carries the beautiful innocence of a child combined with the wisdom of a sage. Matt is one of a kind – genuine, loving, delightful and spiritual. It is clear that he was sent by God to teach us of kindness and gentleness. Matt is 38 years old and has always been a handsome, strong young man. He is dedicated and loyal to his family and friends. In July of 2014, Matt started having small seizures which led to his diagnosis of a very aggressive form of brain cancer. He had brain surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. He was fighting the good fight. In November of 2014, he began suffering from extreme back pain. It has now been discovered that this aggressive cancer has spread throughout his bones, bone marrow and spine. It is very rare for this particular kind of cancer to move from the brain into the body. It is incurable. Matt’s medical bills are mounting just as he is needing more care. He is paralyzed from the waist down now. He has chosen to return to his family home for the last leg of his journey. Katie, the love of his life, his best friend and his major care-giver, is taking a leave of absence from her career to be by his side and is committed to seeing that Matt get the best care possible.
