Jhona's Gender Affirming Medication

i am an afro-latinx non-binary, trans-femme artist embracing the next phase of their journey which involves gender affirming hormone therapy. i was about to pick up my prescriptions when i found out it cost more than expected.

in the spirit of abundance, vulnerability, and transparency, i am asking for any support you are capable of offering - whether through donating or promoting - to ensure that i'll be able to afford my hormone medications for the next year. $3,168 is enough to cover the medications as they are now, but i am asking for $3,500 to account for any surprise costs or changes in relation to medical transition needs. this is the first step i'm taking in my transition before i can know what else is ahead of me.

with the turn of covid, i am finding my way through unemployment, maintaining my creative practice, and landing a safe housing situation. for all of these, i am blessed with the comfort of potential back up plans, but for transitioning, i do not. i am excited to finally take this next step in my journey filled with faith, hope, and love, and i am deeply grateful for my loved ones who've supported me thus far.
