Maldonado family in need

Hello. My name is Zoe. I love to play, dress up, and laugh. I live in Houston with my family. My Daddy Jose works hard everyday to get us all we need. My Mommy Noemi stays home with me and teaches me letters, and numbers, cuddles me and kisses me, she calls me her corazon. I have a big Brother Bruce who is so much fun to play with and he protects me, he's my super hero!

A week ago we were all in a car accident. My Mom and Brother are Ok, my Dads head got hit pretty hard, but I'm not doing so well. My leg was broken, I had to have surgery, I have ligaments torn in my neck, and the bones have shifted. I have been put into a halo brace to prevent the neck shifting anymore.

It will be a long road till I am fully recovered. I will have another six weeks in a rehabilitation facility before I can go home. The Doctor and Nurses are all amazed at how strong I am. "What a fighter!" They say.
