Sabalo School Project
Donation protected
Hey Everyone! I am traveling to Costa Rica in November to volunteer with Hope Corps, a non-profit organization that sponsors high impact projects in underdeveloped communities around the world.
I will be spending my time renovating a primary school in the remote town of Sabalo, which will include rebuilding the school to a create a better environment for the local children to be educated.
The current school in Sabalo is tucked away at the end of a long stretch of palm tree plantations, 45 minutes outside the town of Manuel Antonio. It is a single classroom, with 20 students, grades 1-6, with one teacher. Most children walk several miles to school each day, and very few have access to even the most basic school supplies.
Renovating the school will provide a safe environment for the students to recieve quality education and enhance their learning experience. The vision is to create a space that utilizes sustainable building principles while giving back to the community.
I've commited to raise $2,500 to go towards the renovations to Sabalo School. These necessary changes will not only benefit the students and teachers, but the larger Sabalo Community.
Thanks for helping make this happen!
