Jon's Heart Fund

Donation protected
My fiance', Jon was diagnosed with Chornic A-Fib a few years ago and has underwent several failed attempts at surgery to correct this issue. Last month, Jon was sent to Tampa to a doctor that specializes in his heart condition. However while there, it was determined that Jon also has more serious conditions to worry about. Jon now has Cardio Myopathy and is in Heart Failure, so Jon now has to see a Heart Failure Specialist. They explained that Jon's heart is only working at 10-15% and he would eventually need a Heart Transplant. The doctor decided to do a repeat of a procedure he had already had done to see if it would improve him any.

During this routine Ablation procedure a few weeks ago, Jon's heart wasn't strong enough to make it through the procedure and they had to use the paddles on him to revive him twice. This was the worst case scenario happening right before our eyes, and the decision had to be made to end his life or insert a Defibrillator to preserve what little Heart Function he has left. This was an easy decision to make, we couldn't possibly take him away from his family and his 2 daughters so soon. Every effort would be made to save Jon's life. So Jon spent 2 days in the Cardiac ICU and 5 days in the hospital before being released with a Defibrillator in his chest.

As if dealing with this medical issue isn't enough, Jon's Short-Term Disability from work has denied his claim stating that it is "pre-exisiting condition". He will be out of work for atleast 2 more months and my income alone isn't going to suffice for the care he needs. As the medical bills keep piling in, our bills at home are in serious jeoperdy as well. Jon has a very long road to recovery and this Defibrillator is just holding him over for the time being. Hopefully he won't need a Heart Transplant but as the Doctor said, he is only 29 years old and too young to live with that for the rest of his life.

Any donations of any kind would be greatly and graciously appreciated for his Medical bills and recovery... Not to mention the gas it takes to get back and forth to Tampa so often. It is hard enough to raise our daughters on one income but to take care of all the household bills, groceries, gas, Jon's lab work, Radiology tests, Doctor copay's and for all the treatment he has already had is 10 times as hard!  It is completely out of my charecter to ask for help from family or friends, let alone strangers- but all my attempts to do this on my own have been exhausted.
