Rob's Journey

Donation protected
Hi Everyone!

(Some people may find these photos unpleasant, but this is the reality of what Rob is currently battling)

As we all know, life can throw some difficulties in our paths at times, some much tougher than others. I would like to introduce you to one of my dear friends, Rob, as he is going through a time that may be unimaginable to some. Let me tell you a little bit about his journey:

He had discovered a tiny lump under his left arm during the first week of April and decided to call his doctor. In a matter of 3-4 weeks, the lump had gotten to be significantly larger and found to be a cancerous tumor.

The doctor determined what he had was a type of aggressive cancer technically known as "Pleomorphic High-Grade Undifferentiated Sarcoma" - a very rare (around 7500 cases reported a year) form of cancer. He immediately began many sessions of chemo and radiation, and once they were completed, the tumor had been successfully removed.

On the day of September 20th, an unfortunate complication had been discovered. The area where the tumor had been removed from became infected, leaving a large and exposed hole under his arm. In order to heal and repair the entire area affected, Rob is going to have reconstructive surgery on the 1st of October and hopes of returning to his back-to-normal life (after 6 weeks recovering from this surgery and then enduring another 9 weeks for additional chemotherapy) by the beginning of the New Year.

Unfortunately, life is not always predictable, and complications like this arise. Rob is grateful for all the love and support he has received and remains in high spirits.

We all know what it may be like to keep your head just above water at times, financially. This unexpected discovery has left Rob struggling and unable to return to work and remains unable to return to his daily life as he originally planned, with deeper and growing financial obligations with each passing day. For this reason, I’ve decided to start this GoFundMe page of support for one of the strongest and most positive individuals I know.

Each donation will be greatly appreciated, and will help Rob to get through this bump in the long road of life ahead of him.

Thank you to everyone for all the love, support and kindness.
