Dodge Remington Bleu ("Remi") has had a rough life...An abandoned hunting dog, he was found weak & emaciated wandering in WV. He spent some time with animal control where it was discovered he was heartworm positive and very sick...His luck was running out, as was space at the shelter. Remi was next on the list to be put to sleep...It was a heartbreaking decision for me to assist rescue with his kennelmate and leave this guy behind to die...So I adopted him myself ! 
Remi has spent the last couple months resting and receiving heavy duty medications in preparation for the painful and expensive injections to kill the parasites ravaging his heart...He is finally strong enough to begin the inpatient treatments but we are still short on funds... Please help to save this wonderful hound by donating to his cause...We need your help to raise the rest of the money.
He will require series of three arsenic based injections and an extended inpatient stay...
UPDATE: We have raised enough to cover his first injection! The total cost for the first hospital stay was $811.30.
Weve got to raise more money before the next two injections can be scheduled for early February .
