Help Our Home

My name is Alex Papke, and my roommates Matt Militano and Pat Franklin are asking for your help. We are all skateboarders living in Long Beach, California, and are here because we are trying to pursue carrers in the sport and in the industry. It is hard enough as it is trying to make it without the countless setbacks that we have faced in the last couple of months, but we are continoulsy pushing through with a positive attitude. In the last three weeks, our apartment has not only been broken into once, but now twice. The first time, the only thing that was taken was my Macbook Pro computer and the charger for the computer. Althogh I lost countelss photos, music, and contacts in this process, I was happy that nothing else was taken from our home. This time around, someone made there way into our home and stole a majority of our clothes, Matts computer and computer charger, several 35mm film cameras, our collective bill money for the month (making us unable to pay this months bills, resulting in late frees from the gas, internet, and electric companies) all of our skateboards from the house (new and old), all of our phone chargers, shoes, hats, blankets, backpacks and almost everything else in the home that meant anything of value to us. Worst of all, we have no idea how the burgeler made it in to our home and we feel no security whatsoever. 

Matt and I were both recently laid off from our jobs, leaving us with almost no money in bank and no way to pay our rent. I have started to sell off my camera collection in hopes that we are able to pay rent month to month. We are both tiredlessly looking for work but have been stuck for the last couple of weeks with nothing.  

We are in really asking for your help so we are able to pay for our bills and replace some of the merchadise that was taken from our home. Obviously 1000 dollars will not be able to buy back what we lost, but it will be a great start so we are able to pay off our bills, and will help us start to replace what we lost around our home. If 1000 of you guys could just give a dollar, we can have this project funded in no time and can start getting our lives back together. Whatever you are able to give we apprecaite.
