We, addressing you, are Merita and Husejn-Ceno Dervishi from Ulcinj, the parents of three daughters : Jeta, Fjolla and Arita.
In 2009, our eldest daughter Jeta, nine years old then, was diagnosed with brain cancer. She was urgently sent to the Belgrade Clinical Center and successfully underwent a surgery there.
After the surgery the things were going towards improvement. Jeta went back to school, and we saw a light on the horizon again. We thought our nightmare had ended.
But, this feeling of joy quickly faded. After a regular follow-up examination, the doctors suspected that Jeta’s cancer had recurred and decided to perform a surgery for the second time. Luckily, the suspicion turned out to be wrong, but the second surgery and the complications that followed, caused our daughter, who is 18 years old now, to be immovable from the neck and down as of that day and to breathe through tracheostomy.
During all these years our family has had only one aim, with the power of will and love, to enable Jeta, under these circumstances, to have as good a life as possible. We have never stopped hoping, regardless of the barriers that appeared on our way.
A short time ago, thanks to good people, the doors of the CERENEO hospital in the city of Vitznau, Switzerland, opened to us. This health and research institution is a specialized center for neurology and rehabilitation. With modern therapeutic methods and programs, as well as with the latest innovative technology, patients there are enabled the highest possible independent and unlimited life. What we want for Jeta is exactly what they make possible: improvement of life quality.
But, we came to the point when our will and love, no matter how strong and big they were, were not enough. Now Jeta and we need the goodness of people willing to help.
The hospital staff, based on Jeta’s detailed medical documentation, recommended an 8 weeks treatment. On the other side, the total cost of treatment for 4 weeks of medical treatment is CHF 147,180, or EUR 125,105.94 (without the VAT).
We know that this is an extraodrinarily high amount, but we decided to see it as a challenge, as a next barrier, which we can overcome with your help.
We are thus asking you to help us to offer life to Jeta, with your donations to be with us in the difficult period which is in front of us.
We are also asking you not to hesitate to contact us about any additional information.

The funds will be used for Jeta to receive the right medical attention needed, which requires a surgery to be done in Switzerland.
