Jessica's Medical Treatment Fund

Jessica Hatmaker is a long time resident of Eureka, California.  She attended Eureka High School and College of the Redwoods.  She is a single mother who raised an amazing young man, her son Steven.   She worked in property management for many years until her health prevented her from continuing to work.

Jessica is a fighter.  Over the last several years she has constantly been in and out of the hospital, sometimes for weeks at a time.  She maintains a positive "can do" attitude even when she had to spend this last Christmas in the hospital.

Jessica has been diagnosed with Severe Allergic Asthma and Lupus.  She has exhausted all forms of treatment that have been made available to her.   She has only 63% lung capacity.  She has been referred by her local doctor and doctors at UCSF to specialists at the National Jewish Health Hospital's Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology in Denver, Colorado.   https://www.nationaljewish.org/home

The plan is to run additional tests to determine a new course of treatment.  Jessica needs help to pay for food, accommodations and medical expenses.  Doctors expect the testing period to take two weeks to two months. She has an appointment to see specialists on April 16, 2018.

Your generous donation will enable Jessica to seek life saving treatment.   She is an inspiration.  She brings a smile to everyone she meets.   Her zeal for life is uplifting; she is not ready to give up.
