Jess's Healing Hearts in Rwanda trip!

Hi friends!
I want to share a little bit about myself. I'm Jessica Osborn. I am an Open Heart Surgical Tech with Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. Working in open heart is a dream come true for me. Going on mission trips to Africa to help the sick has been written on my heart since I was young. This is one of the reasons why wanted to go into surgery.
The 1994, the genocide in Rwanda resulted in the destruction of the existing medical system of hospitals, medical schools, and trained medical support personnel. Seventy-five percent of the medical community was either murdered or left the country. There are currently 625 physicians for a country of 11 million.
Each year, Healing Hearts Northwest goes to Rwanda to perform Open Heart Surgery on the sick who can not receive proper medical care and have been afflicted with rheumatic heart disease. Healing Hearts Northwest's team has performed over 60 open heart surgeries and saved the lives of both children and adults in Rwanda thus far.
I'm extremely excited to be a part of the Healing Hearts Northwest team. The cost is great and I'm fundraising to help with all related costs of this amazing opportunity. Please donate! Please share with your friends, let's get the word out. Prayers are appreciated also.
