Jessica Fishel After Fire

Hi, my name is Marilyn Fischer, and I am raising funds to help JESSICA FISHEL after a February 22 fire on her rental property. Jessica lived with us in high school, graduating in 2000 from Chrisman High School. We are her 2 sons adopted grandparents. Jessica needs money to replace things lost in the fire because the rental property was insured as a farm building by the owner, so no contents are insured. Jessica did not have renters insurance. Jessica works as a waitress at Hubbartt's Downtown Diner in Mattoon Sat-Sun and other days when needed. Thomas, her 17 yr old, is a Jr. at Mattoon High School and washes dishes on Sat-Sun there. Jessica had a greenhouse during the growing season to raise vegetables for canning and selling at Farmer's Markets. She has 2 emus, goats, ducks, chickens, and rabbits. She lost 30 animals in the fire. She will be able to temporarily relocate the rest. Jessica lost supplies for the greenhouse, tools, cages, hen houses, stored furniture, 2nd refrigerator, a freezer, outdoor furniture, and decorations. Her three-room apartment was at the end of the shed and suffered smoke and water damage. She has no electricity so she lost food in refrigerators and freezers. Jessica will have to clean anything from her apartment before it can be moved to a new rental. Salvational Army paid for her and Thomas to stay until Monday in a hotel. Red Cross gave her $500 for food and a hotel until she can find another place. She hopes to get a greenhouse set up soon and eventually get animals back. Jessica works hard and is always willing to help friends, neighbors, and older people she knows. Please give as much as you can to Jessica. Every $5, $10 or $20 will help her. Thanks!!
