Jessi Flores Daughter Stephanie's Cancer Fund

49506626_1594334503323748_r.jpegThis campaign is set up for the healthcare of Jessi Flores' daughter Stephanie Nicole.
Because of the covid19 situation her surgery couldn't go through and she is still in need of medical care; medicines, specific food products, medical machines, etc.

Her upcoming operation is for 3 SMALL TUMORS and 1 LARGE TUMOR in her left kidney, her family operating on her as a precaution because her doctor told them that she would not be able to endure chemo if the tumors spread into cancerous cells. It was a very difficult decision for them to make since this is a very high risk operation in and of itself because of all of her health problems.

-Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) -- she has 2 holes in her heart
-Pulmonary Hypertension -- she also has a collapsed lung, she is currently using only one lung to breathe
-Hypocalcemia -- problems in her bones due to her blood deficiency. Her bones are separating from her spinal cord and also from her wrists, elbows & knees.
-Nephrolithiasis (kidney stone) -- although this is a common, easily treatable condition for most people, it is not for her. it has to be treated carefully to get her healthy for her operation.

-Any special medications she needs;
-Food she needs to get her healthy for her operation. Her doctor has her on a special diet;
-Oxygen Tank; and
-Hire a nurse to take care of her after the operation.

If you can help out, we would be very thankful.
With kind regards,
Jessi Flores and Team PHUCK CANCER.

Stephanie Nicole Flores Story

Since many know me in the cigar industry as the art guy, I feel compelled to ask for help again for my daughter Stephanie Nicole to be her voice, her beacon of light to the world. She has no voice to tell her story. Now 20 years of age.

Nobody knew about her case till I left Drew Estate Cigars about a year ago. And I only opened up to ask for help jest few months ago.

It takes a great deal of courage and soul to talk about our personal lives in this position of pandemic and my love for Stephanie but I found the strength to speak about cancer and how it pacts a normal family’s life. Many choose to overlook stories of cancer but in reality many have gone through these difficult times. Stephanie story is different.  From birth, she is a blessing to us all. Just surviving this long at 20 is God’s Will to be with us. Please take the time to read her story.

Over the years I took care of her financially; all her needs and medical issues. I tried to keep her life very private in the past. I’m an artist and tried my hardest to cover her medical bills and living expenses since she cannot work because she is unfortunately disabled. Sadly, her medical expenses has gone beyond my present income. So I’m doing the most honorable thing a dad can do in this day in age.

This is my second request for help.

We were able to get her ready for her surgery in February but sadly Covid 19 came.

I made the decision (and a hard one to make) not to proceed and it hurt me to do so, knowing that her delay may extend her cancerous tumor to spread to other areas of her liver and other body organs. We patiently wait for this pandemic to disappear from our country to return to exams and psychological readiness to prepare her for surgery she knows is life threatening but she wants to live and continue living.

I am so grateful for the response of the first GoFundMe campaign and to everyone that donated and sent well wishes and prayers.  Stephanie was so overwhelmed with happiness that she could became more comfortable and mentally more stable for her surgery.

With donations from the GoFundMe Campaign, I was able to get her all her daily medications that covered up until last month.  The donations also went to include special foods for her daily diet, special high protein milk that she needs to drink daily (PROTEINEX) , special walking shoes, a medical bed with orthopedic mattress, a special bed comforter with cotton sheets, a wheel chair with special cushion, a bathing chair (anti slide), a portable air tank with wheels, a digital blood pressure device, a portable AC unit, a fan, a refrigerator to store her foods and prescribed  medication, MRI scans that were performed on her, hospital fees, food and water, transportation to and from her home, and hotels for me while I needed to be near her when her weekly exams took place.

Because of the postponement due to the pandemic, all her exams need to be done again from the start to review her health and scan the size of the tumors.  Stephanie needs to be in good health condition to be operated on to extract her left liver with the tumors.

Once this pandemic ends we can continue with her scheduled surgery.  Of course, she has to wait for a fixed date from the surgery staff and head cardiologist. A nurse would be necessary to aid her in her daily needs.

Since she cannot undergo chemotherapy doctors suggested to us surgery (extract her liver that has 3 cancer tumors growing) but she needs to be stable and healthy. This surgery is a high life risk surgery for her. During this quarantine she has not been examined by any hospitals due to Covid 19 as we are afraid she might get infected since she does not have any immune system to fight any infections or air born bacteria.

Our family thanks everyone that has supported her cause and the continuous support during this pandemic times. We can only pray that she will be able to sustain the time on lock down to move forward with her surgery as cancer is a deadly cause of death to many in the world today. Many survivors go through chemo and survive and go through so many changes mental and physical challenges, but Stephanie could not make that possible.  To survive you need healthy organs and good body defenses to survive the chemotherapy.

Stephanie was born with a beautiful smile just like any other child but since an early age she displayed problems from her heart. We as parents were lost and confused why this happened and not fully understand her heart problems. The one thing that gave her life also was taking it away her heart!

Not allowing enough blood go to her body her fingers, chest, lips and toes would turn blue. Many know this condition as “blue babies”. Due to artery performance failure, as a baby having hospitalized more than regular kids, she began to see more nurses and doctors than students and teachers, but no one wanted to operate they said it was too risky for her to survive. At 2 years of age she was diagnosed having 2 small holes in the right side and left side of her heart causing her to fail to have enough blood flow and oxygen to her tiny slim body.

At the age of 2, doctors predicted she would live till the age of 5-7 years.  When she turned 7 then doctors said she would live till the age of 10.
We felt blessed she survived every birthday.  We felt more blessed she made her life journey longer by the grace of the Lord. Stephanie went only a few years to school.  While growing up, other children would bully her because she had blue lips and fingers.

She was home schooled for many years, and really enjoyed learning and reading, unfortunately in the years of her adolescence she became weaker and sicker taking her health downward. Recently she was diagnosed with a failed lung.  She is living with only one lung, and her bones are separating from her spinal cord and limbs which causes her pain when the climate changes.

November 2019 came with sad news.  Stephanie was diagnosed with cancerous tumors in her liver.  Though she does not feel them, cancer is a silent killer.  Stephanie is a miracle child.  Even though she is 20 now, she will always be my baby. I pray everyday for the Lord to give her the strength and the power to over come the many obstacles she has to endure in her daily life.

Thanks everyone for reading my daughter Stephanie’s story.

She has the will to live and a strong soul.  With your help and along with many friends from around the world, the proper care she needs can continue.  Please share so she can receive the proper medical care and medication for her to survive this pandemic.

God bless
