Jesse’s Road To Recovery From Cancer

Donation protected
This past 24 hours have been the epitome of almost every parent’s worst nightmare.
06:45 (Wednesday November 25, 2020)
We need as many prayers and y’all can send up for Jesse, James’s eldest. He went in last night to get his knee looked at for the swelling and pain he’s been in for some time. They ran imaging and very quickly diagnosed that it’s cancer. They’re doing the biopsies today and putting in a port for his chemotherapy. The masses are in both lungs, his knee and some in his hip too. And of course Jesse’s scared and we are too. James is driving over to be with him over the holiday.
Once Jesse is out of the hospital at home with his Mom we’ll join them to keep his spirits up and just come together as a family for his sake.

Jesse doesn’t have cell reception at the hospital but he can use their WiFi to use FB messenger, so if you want to touch base with him please do. Please though, try not impart you’re fears for him onto him, he’s terrified as it is. He needs to keep a positive outlook and try not to dwell on this as much as possible. If you can make him laugh, please do with our blessing ❤️
Update(18:20)
The doctors scheduled Jesse for 10 weeks of chemotherapy and then the amputation of his leg and then 20 more weeks of chemotherapy.
He was in good spirits before they took him to surgery.
They're doing the biopsies tonight and his PET Scan is day after tomorrow and then we'll know where else it might be. If he wants kids someday he's going to have to use a sperm bank.
Jesse is going to need all the love and support we can give him for some time to come.
KEEP PRAYING!!!
Update: (18:39)He’s still in surgery and the doctor came out to tell them that the cancer in his lungs is the type they had feared it was and more than they thought initially. If it were a blood cancer he could get on the transplant list, if only it were a blood cancer. But it gets worse. It’s the incurable kind but they’re putting in the port anyhow. There is speculation he will remain in the hospital for another 2 weeks at least.
I can hardly bring myself to this next part but I have to. While trying to remain optimistic we’re asking for your help with covering expenses for Jesse’s road to recovery or to secure his final resting place as we have no life insurance to cover such an expense.
