Hello everyone,
As some of you may already know, I recently spent some time in Isaac Brock's studio, recording my tunes. The recordings turned out great and I was able to remain at the studio for an additional week, hanging out and getting to meet various industry people. Since then, things have been happening very quickly. Lee Popa, the producer that I'm working with, has put my songs into the hands of some of his connections in New York. These people want me to move to NYC immediately to begin working with musicians Aaron Johnston and Jesse Murphy from the band Brazilian Girls, and singer/songwriter Gabriel Gordon. In addition to this, I have an artist residency lined up for me at The Bitter End, a historic NYC venue, as well as a songwriter showcase at Nublu. Here's the problem, I need to get there before the residency is given to someone else. Yes, they like my music, but they won't wait around forever. I'm in a bit of a time crunch and that's why I've turned to gofundme to try and raise some money. Any money raised will be used to help me relocate to NYC, finish up my album, and help pay for the mastering costs. I am hoping to leave by April 8th so that I can take advantage of these wonderful opportunities. I don't have the luxury of putting this off a while in order to save money. These other musicians aren't going to wait around for me forever either; they have their own careers already in motion. I'm in the process of selling most of my stuff and fundraising elsewhere, but I'm still short of what I would need. I don't want to miss out on this and regret it the rest of my life. Can you help me chase my dream? I can't imagine that another break like this will come along any time soon. This is truly an incredible opportunity. I would be eternally grateful if you could help me out!
