<div>As representatives, the council members serve you--they are you. We are the bridge between the People of Irving and its government. As such, my general responsibility will be to help set policy direction with my colleagues and work with the city manager and his staff in implementing that policy direction. And although the city councilman's job is CONSIDERED part-time, I believe it is a full-time responsibility that will require a candidate who is willing to treat this honor as such.
