Jersey needs emergency surgery

Jersey, formerly Elmo, was surrender to an Animal Hospital at 2 weeks old. He had aspiration pneumonia. It's a Pittie Rescue was contacted and we took him in. It was a long road to recovery, but he gained strength and became a wonderful, happy puppy. His mom, Keri, was friends with the foster mom and would often come visit Jersey. It did not take long (their first meeting) for Keri to know that Jersey was her soul dog.
Keri adopted Jersey as soon as she could. He became the wonderful dog everyone knew he would become. Keri even taught him to surf!!
Jersey is now a little over a year and a half old. His mom noticed that he was not acting like his goofy self. Then he started refusing food, would hide when she offered him food and vomiting.
So, she took him to the vet. There they discovered he has a foreign object causing an obstruction in his bowel and it is causing damage and possible perforation of his intestines. He will need emergency surgery to remove it. They are estimating everything to be around $10,000.00. That includes the stay in an emergency room before and after surgery, the surgery, ultrasounds and medication.
Once an It's a Pittie dog always an It's a Pittie dog, is our motto. We would love to help Kerri out. In order to do this It's PIttie would like to try to raise $5000.00 so Keri could afford to do whatver Jersey needs.
