Jerry Alexander’s Final Expenses

Three weeks ago, my dad found out he has several tumors in his kidneys, liver, and intestines. Our world has been turned upside down. He went through one biopsy to find out where the cancer started, but they did not get enough tissue to give a diagnosis, so he was scheduled for a second biopsy. On Thanksgiving, he was experiencing a lot of pain in his shoulder and neck, so he went to the ER. After doing CT scans, they found a tumor in his neck, which was wrapped around a disc, fracturing it. He was transported to a different hospital, where they performed surgery on his neck, taking part of the tumor out to do a biopsy and placing rods in his neck for support. They also found another small tumor on his spine that will eventually cause enough pain that more surgery will need to be done. We are now waiting for biopsy results once again and he just started radiation on the tumor that was left in his neck. 

My dad is only 54 years old and has always been the sole provider for our family.  He has already had to go on sick leave due to the pain he was having and now does not know when he will be able to return to work. Instead of focusing on his health, he is worried about paying the bills and how much all of the medical bills are going to be. The reason this page was created was in hopes of raising funds that will help my parents through this journey in peace without the added stress of finances.

Anything donated to our goal will be used to contribute to my dad’s health expenses, also to pay a partial amount of the bills until my mom is able to work again and/or he recovers.
