Jerry's Recovery Fund

Hello, I'm making this gofund me because my Dad Jerry Westrand was in a bad motorcycle accident on 8/24/18, and sustained some pretty severe injuries. He has a cracked skull with swelling and bleeding in his brain, broken ribs, and a deflated lung, along with a considerable amount of road rash on his back. He has been sedated since the crash so no one knows exactly what happened. He loved his bike so much and now it's completely wrecked so he is surely going to be depressed when he wakes up. We just got insurance set up for him but no one knows at this point how long he will be in the hospital, and afterwards how long it will be before his life can start getting back to normal and he can resume working. All of the funds that go into this account will be used to fund his medical expenses, and travel expenses such as gas for his family to travel to Denver to see him and help him recover, and his car payment so that he doesn't wake up to all of his possessions just gone! My dad would give the shirt off of his back to a stranger if they needed it so I'm asking the community(many of you know him well) to help him out and to eventually transition back to a normal life as easily as possible!  I will continue to update as his condition improves!
