Jerry Kuck Cancer Treatment Fund

As many of you know and for those who don't, my father is currently going through his third battle with cancer in the last 10 years.  Having been previously diagnosed and cured of both kidney and prostate cancer, my father has lived cancer free for a number of years.

This past spring, he began to experience pain in his hip and walked with a severe limp.  After many months of being stubborn and dealing with the pain, my family finally convinced him to go to the doctor.  Upon examination, it was determined that his cancer had returned yet again, and a very large tumor was growing inside the bone of his hip.  It was with saddened news, that we also learned he had tiny tumors in his lungs and his last remaining kidney as well.

Over the past several months, he has gone through numerous treatments of radiation, chemotherapy, and now an experimental immunotherapy to combat his disease.  As with all cancer patients, we have seen him experience the highs and lows of his treatments/medications. Throughout the process, he has always managed to maintain a positive attitude, thanks to the support of both my family as well many friends and members of the community.

Due to rising cost of out of pocket expenses for his treatments, family friends will be throwing a fundraiser on Saturday March 17th, at the Central City Middle School from 5PM-7PM (see attached flier for details).  There will be a free will donation for a soup supper.  If you are in the community that day and want to show your support in person, feel free to stop by.  For those of you who can't make it but still want to donate, feel free to donate to this page or to Cornerstone Bank (details in flier).

My family would like to thank you in advance for all of your support, and for all the support you have already shown us.  It is truly humbling to have such caring and wonderful people surrounding us in our lives.  If there is anything I have learned over the past 10 years, it is just how tough and stubborn my father is.  Don't believe me?  This is his third battle of cancer and he still has all his hair!  With all of our support, I know he will beat cancer yet again.  Thank you!
