Karens Needs While Caring For Jerry

Jerry and Karen Hime are a couple who have dedicated their lives to Biblical counseling. They have helped hundreds of families and individuals over their 20+ years of counseling. They have opened their home, scarificed their time and finances and loved unconditionally, expecting nothing in return.
We are using this fundraising site to collect donations for Karen to be able to care for Jerry at home. Donations can be made by debit or credit card with the link above labeled "donate now".
In 2015, Jerry had a back spasm and fell down the stairs into his basement. He was severely injured and could not get himself off of the floor. During the fall he destroyed both knees, both shoulders and incurred several other injuries. Over the last year and a half, he has searched for any surgeon who would operate and has been continually turned down due to help risks. He has limited mobility, is currently on dialysis and living full time in a care facility. His wife Karen has been caring for him with her time split between their Minneapolis home and the care facility in Brooklyn Park. She has been bringing him healthy meals three times a day and takes him to dialysis via shuttle. Through her dedication and his hard work Jerry has lost 130 pounds. With his body broken and limited mobility, he and his wife have continued to counsel, teach and love others. They are a shining example of selflessness.
Jerry cannot return home to live is because his home is not wheel chair compliant. The doorways, bathroom and hallways need to be reconfigured to allow him to maneuver the home safely. These renovations have to be completed by a licensed contractor with approved, compliant blueprints. This comes at high cost.
The money raised will go toward helping Karen care for Jerry at home, her current and future living expenses and the renovation costs to allow Jerry to return home where Karen can care for him.
We are asking people to see this as an urgent need. The care facility Jerry is currently in is very expensive. The sooner these funds are raised, the sooner he can finally return home with Karen.
