11/2/2016 Update-Jerry's passing
I wanted to let you all know that Jerry passed away just after midnight last night. He was feeling very ill, and was rushed to the hospital where he went into cardiac arrest. We were hoping to have a little more time with him, but the Lord saw fit to take him today. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers for the family. We are keeping this donation campaign open for now to help with final services expenses.

Update: 10/31/2016
Jerry wants to let everyone know that he greatly appreciated your love, support, and donations last year when he desperately needed it to prepare for his kidney transplant. Unfortunately, after the transplant, they discovered he also has liver disease. Because of the liver issue, the new kidney never worked. The doctors have denied him to be qualified for a double transplant (kidney & liver), based on his overall deteriorated health. He has been on dialysis ever since, and his health has progressively gotten worse since last year. He is preparing for the inevitable, at this point. There is no real timeline, but he feels that sometime soon he will discontinue the dialysis and Hospice will be called in to assist with whatever time he has left. He is a man of Faith and is ready to go when the Lord sees fit to take him. He, and the family, are asking you to keep him in your prayers. He has also asked that we re-open this Go Fund Me campaign to assist with end-of-life expenses. The $2,404 shown donated is from the great support you gave last year. We will need about that much more to pay for all of the end-of-life expenses. Thank you again for all of your previous love and generosity. God Bless!

Update (12/15/2015):

Jerry Blair is a retired State of Florida police officer, a proud father and husband, and a servant to God. He has endured quite a bit medically in the last few years, with complications of diabetes. He survives on a small retirement pension. You may have helped us already with a donation, and we are eternally grateful. Jerry was able to finally get a kidney transplant at Mayo clinic about 8 weeks ago. However, the new kidney has not been functioning properly. Jerry and his wife, Nancy have to travel a few times per week to get dialysis treatment. Also, they have had to travel the 4 hour drive to Mayo clinic many times for various tests and treatments. This is ongoing. Now, the doctors believe Jerry may need a new kidney. Needless to say, with all of the expenses in the last year (including the expenses involved in the transplant), we simply cannot afford it. We need your help. If he does need a new kidney, your donations will literally be LIFE SAVING. Please consider a donation that will help us in his medical expenses. God Bless.

Jerry Blair is a 62 year old who has been a life-long resident of Florida.  He is a retired Florida law enforcement officer and has lived and worked in the Orlando (Clermont) area, Lakeland, Miami and north Florida where he is currrently retired to.  He was stricken with diabetes and had to seek early retirement.  Jerry, with the help of his wife of 27 years, Nancy, has battled several complications through the years from the diabetes, including kidney failure.  He is now spending 9 hours each day on dialysis and has recently undergone several months of extensive testing at the Mayo Clinic for a kidney transplant.  He has been approved for the transplant as it is believed that it would greatly increase his life expectancy and his quality of life.

Jerry must have several thousand dollars available at the time of transplant and the funds to pay for a year of out-of-pocket expenses for medication before the surgery even takes place.  As a result of the enormous medical debts they have incurred, Jerry and Nancy are unable to produce the money they need.  Their relatives, friends and their church have pledged to raise money for them, but they need help!

Please consider helping Jerry raise the needed money by donating to him through this secure website. If you do not feel comfortable with donating online, you can also mail your donation direct to  Jerry Blair at P.O. Box 212, Westville, FL 32464.  He will gladly furnish his phone number should you wish to make personal contact.

 Thank you so very much!
