Jerry Hoffman's Funeral Expenses

Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gerard “Jerry” Hoffman shares the news of his passing. Jerry was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in December and his condition rapidly declined. He was called home to be with the Lord on September 5, 2017.

As everyone knows, Jerry was always the first person to lend a hand to anyone in need without ever asking for anything in return. Due to the rapid progression of his condition, his family is not prepared for the mounting medical expenses and subsequent funeral costs.

It is with humility and heartfelt gratitude we ask for your generosity and assistance through this difficult time.  All funds raised will be used for the sole purpose of paying Jerry's medical and funeral expenses.

Jerry is survived by his parents, Bill and Pat Hoffman, devoted wife of 35 years, Gina Hoffman, three daughters, Laurie VanBibber (Brad) and Jennifer Gaddis (David) of Evansville, and Karen Hoffman (Jordan Crossland) of Muncie, IN; three grandchildren, James, Alivia and Isabella of Evansville, and sister Debbie Cutler (Jerry), and brothers Mark Hoffman (Leah) and Chris Hoffman (Lisa).

Jerry was a 1977 graduate of Mater Dei and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.  Jerry worked for George Koch Sons for 17 years before pursuing his lifelong dream of entrepreneurship at HomeTown Pizza in Haubstadt, IN for 15 years. Most recently, Jerry loved his work as a school bus driver for the EVSC, and continued working through his cancer treatments up until he was hospitalized in August. More than anything Jerry loved spending time with family and friends.

We would like to thank the staff of Deaconness Gateway and the Linda E. White Hospice House for the care he received as well as the many friends and relatives who visited, called, and prayed for Jerry, Gina, and the rest of the family. Jerry Hoffman, husband, father, son, brother and friend, will be deeply missed by so many.
