Team Jermaine- Helping Medical Cost

As the saying goes: “The best laid plans of mice and men often go astray.”  I want to tell you about Jermaine Hawkins.  He had big plans for his life.  At 22, he was a young man that made his momma proud.  He attended Kentucky State University majoring in Criminal Justice.  He learned to respect himself, others and the importance of education and discipline. Things changed for Jermaine in the blink of an eye.

Jermaine was accidentally shot by a friend who had legally purchased a gun and stopped by to show it off.  Jermaine had just advised him to put it away before someone got hurt, when it went off.  By a miracle and the grace of God, he survived; the bullet severed his spinal cord and shattered a vertebra.  Jermaine is a survivor!  He is resilient and determined -- that is who he is.  

Despite this, the plans for his life have changed.  The doctors have said he will be completely paralyzed (Quadriplegic).  His friends and family are believing for a miracle.  In the meantime, he has a tremendous amount of difficult work ahead of him for the rehabilitation.  His family is taking time off work to be with him in the hospital.  They will have to modify their home to be handicap accessible.  They will have numerous expenses that we cannot even foresee at this time.  With this in mind, we are coming to you as friends of the family, to ask that you share this website and donate what you can.
