Jeremy's Eagle Scout Community Garden

Hi, my name is Jeremy, and I am a Life Scout with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 310 in Orangevale. I have been part of the scouting community since 2016 and am currently working towards my final rank in scouts, Eagle. A major component of becoming an Eagle Scout is complieting a service project for my community. I have chosen to partner with the Child Development department of the YMCA in downtown Sacramneto, CA, to improve their garden. I plan to build 3 raised garden beds, a vegetable washing station, and add two trellis arches to the existing planters. My hope is that this project will allow the community to plant all kinds of fruits and vegetables and encourage kids of all ages to connect fresh, healthy food with where it comes from.

How can YOU help? Projects like this are expensive, especially wood, during the pandemic, and I am looking to collect donations to help make this project happen. To build this project, I would love to raise $1100.00 to pay for the cost of materials, including wood, soil, cattle fencing, etc. If there

is any money left over after completing the project, it will be donated to the YMCA for future scout projects.
