Jeremy Melcher's Recovery

Donation protected
We can all imagine the confidence it takes to work in construction if we have ever had to climb a ladder and stand on a roof. Construction can be a dangerous occupation at times. At The Wiese Company we take safety very seriously with monthly safety meetings and monitoring necessary precautions specific to each job site. We also carry all necessary insurances to protect our staff, their families and our clients. However, like in life, even when you take all the necessary precautions accidents happen.

Last week our foreman and most experienced carpenter at the company, Jeremy Melcher, from East Bridgewater, suffered a fall that resulted in a broken pelvis and other injuries. He is being well cared for by the surgeons, doctors and nursing staff at Brigham & Women’s Hospital while his wife and four children continue to push through daily life with young children while he recuperates. The doctors have given him a three to six months for recovery from injuries sustained in the accident.

The Wiese Company, most with families of our own, understand what an impact being down a parent can have and would like to try and keep his family life running as smoothly as possible during the next few months. We are ensuring his weekly pay check is covered and are delivering meals to his home twice a week, but there are still other needs that have to be met. The holidays are not only a very busy time for most families, but a time when giving each other a little extra warmth can go a long way.

The Wiese Company has started a GoFundMe page on behalf of the Melcher Family and have contributed $500 to start the campaign and will match the first $2,000 donated with a goal of raising $10k. Please consider giving to help this family move forward during a challenging time. The funds will be used primarily for additional child care. If you feel what you can give isn’t enough, remember small contributions from many can make a big impact, please give and share this campaign so that others can contribute to this cause.
