Jeremy...He is us

With great pain in my heart but hope and change in my spirit, I ask for help from my community.
About  two and a half years ago my son, Jeremy tried to commit suicide.  Jeremy has Autism and Schizophrenia.  My beloved son had been attending college at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He was a math major, grappling with the issues of college and his disabilities as well.   Unfortunately, he was quite lonely and unsure of his place in this world. He became suicidal.   This suicide attempt caused him to be incarcerated. He was put in county jail and then put into a lockdown facility since April of 2016.  Even though he has been deemed not competent to stand trial, the system will not allow him to go to the next level of care. They also are not allowing me  to become his conservator and have access to his medical information.  On September 5, 2018 I found out that Jeremy was in a hospital. I found this out through another inmate. The facility didn't have the authorization to tell me, but informed me that he was in the hospital. When I got to the hospital he had a black eye on the right side of his face and a chipped tooth on the left. He could not remember how he it came to happen. I feel I need to find a way to fight this system of oppression.
I am asking the community to come together to pick up the torch for my son, so that I may be able to get him out of this unjust system.  I need to have the funds  to retain an attorney. We all know this can be very pricey, but I can not do this by myself. These past few years, I have learned our judicial system is way bigger then I can handle on my own. I have to get an attorney to help with the legality of his incarceration, in order to fight for his rights. I am asking for your help. It will mean the world to me, my son, and future innocent victims who are not able, or have the means to fight for their freedom.
Thank you in advance for your love and support.
