Jeremiah's Funeral and Burial Cost

Donation protected
The strongest person in the world is a grieving mother who has to wake up every morning and keep on going. No mother should outlive her child. I know someone who just did - my sister. My name is Ersie. I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister and an aunt of an angel - Jeremiah. Jeremiah Batongmalaki was born on January 17, 2005 to my sister Emerilie. He was a beautiful healthy boy. At the age of five, he was diagnosed of Friedreich's ataxia - a rare genetic condition that causes progressive damage to the nervous system. Treatment - NONE - but management of symptoms. Jeremiah's manifestations were everything on the book. He initially started with loss of coordination, fatigue, gait disturbances, cardiomyopathy at age of 5, to scoliosis, visual impairment, sleep apnea, frequent vomiting until he was not able to walk or crawl at all and eventually need a feeding tube for nutritional support. Recently he was hospitalized of Diabetic Ketoacidosis that lead to cardiogenic shock. He was intubated, medicated, sedated, paralyzed and was given with every possible treatment known in hopes to bring our baby home. On September 4, 2017 at 6:15 PM, Jeremiah succumbed to his disease at Texas Children's Hospital after days of fighting for his life even with the most advanced medical technology, experienced physicians and nurses. Despite of all, he was a strong, brave, smart and a witty boy. He had the most contagious smile that made everyone around him smile. When asked what was wrong with him, his reply was "I have a Big Heart" and he really does. He dreamt to be a "YouTuber" one day. He was loved by everyone. To his family, he was our 12-year-old baby. We were not ready to lose him, we weren't prepared to say our goodbyes. Our story wasn't finished yet and that hurts the most. I am appealing to everyone with a penny to spare, to please help us give this Angel a beautiful funeral services and a proper burial, then maybe, just maybe, it will ease the sorrow his mommy is going through and will go through every single day until the day she joins him.
