Hi all, I am the mom of this man laying in this hospital bed after he was taken in for emergency surgery. He had a massive blood clot blocking blood supply to his intestines. This caused a portion of them to die and become infected. During surgery, they removed the clot and performed a bowel resection. He is recuperating slowly but will be unable to work for quite some time. It will be at least 2 months before he is able to get back to his job, if he is able to do the job, as it requires heavy lifting, bending, and twisting his torso. Also, his diet will be completely changed, and as we all know, eating healthy is more expensive. This man served his country for over 10 years in the US Navy and he has two little girls to support as well as himself.

All of you who know me can attest to the fact that I never ask for anything and am always the first to lend a hand or give the last dollar I have to anyone I see that needs it. I am not asking for much, but he will need help with monthly expenses and groceries. Also, I have been making trips between Shawnee, OK, OKC, and Noble, OK daily to take care of animals and get him his medicine and groceries. I am disabled, so I do not have a lot for anything extra, and the gas and vehicle expenses are mounting daily.
