Jereme received his new kidney from his best friend on June 7th. Due to unforeseen complications that arose after his kidney transplant, Jereme has had to spend 5 stays in the hospital and an extra month in Utah as he fought to keep the kidney. He is continuing to fight a good fight and while the doctors keep pushing out his return home date, it still is undetermined. It will be at least another 2 weeks. He was supposed to return to work 6 weeks after the surgery, but has since been put on medical leave. His insurance has run out because he is on this leave. The funds that were put aside are now exhausted after this month. We could never have imagined this would look like this. Jereme's first priority is to protect his new kidney. His caretaker will need to return home as they have been left with no other option. His room costs $325 a week and still needs to get a rental car while he stays in Utah. The costs are adding up. Everyone has done so much for him and Jereme and his family and donor are so grateful. We have faith that everything will work out. He is positive still which says a lot. We are so grateful he has this second chance. Any help for his remaining costs while in Utah would be greatly appreciated.
