Jensyn's Study Abroad to London

Dear Family & Friends,
I am a senior at Kennesaw State University and I am planning to spend the May semester “maymester” of 2018 studying abroad in London, England. My major is Public Relations and I have also been accepted into the Joel A. Katz Music and Entertainment Business Program (MEBUS). The MEBUS program at Kennesaw State University is a joint venture between the Coles College of Business and the College of the Arts. The purpose of the multi-disciplinary program is to provide the foundation of practical experiences, on-the-job training, and exploration of career opportunities in the music and entertainment industry. Success in the music and entertainment business requires a variety of skills from diverse fields.
Studying abroad will afford me the opportunity to visit many incredible places, have practical experiences and further my education; gaining credit hours. All will lead to my dream job in the future. In addition to my academic experience, I will be visiting many places during my two weeks in London:
-Abbey Road Studios
-Sony Entertainment (working with Simon Cowell’s marketing team)
-Performing Rights Organization
-Arsenal football stadium
-Houses of Parliament (includes a face-to-face meeting with a member of Parliament)
-Royal Albert Hall
-British Music Heritage Tour
-Tileyard Studios…and so much more!
The total fee is $6,299. Upon my completion of this awesome experience, I will have earned 6 credit hours (2 classes) that go towards my MEBUS certification.
Any amount you would be able to contribute to make this experience possible would be greatly appreciated.
The following is a breakdown of my financial obligation:
Program Fee $3,999
Classes $1,800
Additional Expenses* $500
Total Needed $6,299
*Extra expenses will cover the cost of my meals, books, excursions and transportation in London.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you have concerning my academic achievements, extracurricular activities, or reasons for studying abroad. I would be happy to meet with you at any time and keep you updated with my progress and my music and entertainment business education. I will be keeping a journal and writing in it constantly with our day-to-day activities.
